Held at Coqueiros Stadium, the Press Conference presenting the 3rd Edition of the Super Cuia Palanquinhas Cup, the biggest childlren and youth football tournament in Angola.

This is a tournament held by Refriango intended for children and young people of both sexes, aged between 8 and 12 years, in ten country provinces, supported once again by the Angolan Football Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education and the provincial governments.

The tournament will feature the participation of 352 teams, a total of 3520 young football players coming from the provinces of Luanda, Moxico, South Lunda, North Lunda, Cabinda, Bengo, Huambo, Huila, Benguela and South Kwanza. The first game will be held on March 7th in Luanda and the great national final will be held on August 15th, at Coqueiros Stadium.

But the big news this year is that Refriango has established a partnership with Sport Lisboa e Benfica. As in previous editions, the winning team this year will also receive a unique prize: a week of training in Portugal, at Sport Lisboa e Benfica’s training and formation center.

In the Press Conference, Sport Lisboa e Benfica delivered two trophies, one to the Angolan Football Federation, and one to Refriango, marking the start of Benfica’s connection with the Super Cuia Palanquinhas Cup.

It fell to Pedro Mantorras, ambassador of the club, to give the tournament’s kick-off , a moment that happened prior to the friendly match between the Sambizanga and Cacuaco’s teams.
