PRESS RELEASE: START OF COCA-COLA PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTION BY REFRIANGO

Luanda, June 25, 2022: Coca-Cola Company and Refriango formalized a partnership today for the production, bottling, and distribution of Coca-Cola products in Angola. The Vice-President for West Africa, Islands, and Central Africa, Rodrigue Bila, and the Coca-Cola Company team were present at the event.

More than 400 guests, including officials, banks, clients, suppliers, and partners, attended the event, which included a tour of the Kikuxi industrial complex to observe the production and bottling of Coca-Cola products. Attendees included representatives from the Government, Vice-Governor of BNA, Miguel Miguel, the Embassies of the United States of America, Argentina, Portugal, and Mozambique, the Executive Administrator of IGAPE, top executives from Angola’s main banks, and representatives of national companies.

Rodrigue Bila, Vice-President of Coca-Cola for West Africa, Islands, and Central Africa, emphasized the multinational's confidence in Refriango. “Together, we will leverage the best practices to provide excellent service to customers and consumers through a consistent strategy of product development and market execution in Angola,” he stated.

Refriango will enhance its human resources by approximately 300 jobs. Over 1,000 indirect jobs will also be generated by this partnership. An investment of $30 million has been made to increase industrial capacity.
